You build togo plugins (togo is a thin microkernel — everything is a plugin). Conventions:

  • Scaffold with togo make:plugin <name> (from the plugin template). Implement the kernel Plugin contract: Name(), Priority() int (0–100, laravilt-style boot order), Register(k *Kernel) error (bind services/config/hooks), Boot(k *Kernel) error (mount routes, register GraphQL/REST, run migrations).
  • Use kernel services: Config (Viper), Hooks (priority event bus), Router (chi), DB (driver registry), Resources, GraphQL/REST registration points. Plugins are auto-discovered via a generated registry import.
  • A plugin may also add CLI verbs (external togo-<x> dispatch or a registered command) and ship FE/BE assets that togo install publishes.
  • Keep a togo.plugin.yaml manifest; submit Go modules to pkg.go.dev and list the plugin at https://to-go.dev/plugins. Test install end-to-end: togo install <owner/repo> then togo serve.

Use the togo MCP when available.
